Baikal Minerals successfully substituting imported quality products

Baikal Minerals Group is one of Russia’s largest talc ore mining, processing and granulation enterprises. It returned to Interlakokraska to present its quality products to industry professionals.

Evgeny Meshkov, Commercial Director at Baikal Minerals Group, told us more about the company and its objectives at the exhibition.

“We are a full-cycle manufacturing company, which includes enterprises extracting talc ore from the Onotskoye deposit in the Irkutsk region, processing, grinding and granulating the ore. For now, this is the most promising and purest deposit in Russia. It is distinguished by the whiteness and purity of talc, as well as the absence of impurities,” Meshkov said.

“This is the first time in five years that we are taking part in the exhibition, and we have our reasons. The company has transformed over the past three years: we are developing new products to replace imported goods. In fact, this is one of our goals at the exhibition. We want to show that Russia has a company able to supply quality talc or, eventually, some other minerals. We want to hear offers and wishes of potential clients at the exhibition.”

“Our clients are paint and coating factories, pulp and paper enterprises, chemical companies producing mineral fertilizers, pharmaceutical and food companies and others. We accommodate needs of the entire talc market from industrial to food and medical. Baikal Minerals seems to be the only Russian company making fine fractions for production of plastics and a certain paint and coating.”

“The availability of several regional warehouses with a large stock of our products allows us to optimize logistics and facilitate delivery to customers. We keep safety stocks for our regular customers and try to plan deliveries in advance. We are a customer-oriented company and we use our backup capacities in the event of logistics problems many of our industry colleagues have experienced recently so that our customers do not have to worry about their production plans.”

“The quality of our products is guaranteed by strict laboratory control of the stability of technical characteristics, since we know that the quality of final product depends on the quality of our talc.”

“At the exhibition, we not only find new customers, but also effectively communicate with our regular customers. Our country is so huge that we are sometimes unable to meet with the colleagues in person. The exhibition is an opportunity to meet a person we have spoken only by phone or communicated online, so that we could address pressing issues and agree on cooperation. We are looking forward to seeing everyone interested in quality products at our stand,” concluded Evgeny Meshkov.
